Offered by Palladium Musicum, Inc. as its contribution to the 375th Anniversary Celebration of the Founding of Greenwich and sponsored by the Greenwich Historical Society, the symposium is focused on two pioneering women landscape architects, Ellen Biddle Shipman (1869-1950) and Marian Coffin (1876-1957), active in designing the historic gardens of many great estates in Greenwich. Their contributions in shaping the formation of the field of landscape architecture in this country will be examined by two eminent experts in the field: Judith B.
