Festival Concert for Organ with Flute. Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Installation of the Chapel's E.M. Skinner Organ (opus 863, 1931)

This concert has been rescheduled from last October 29, 2011 because of severe weather.

This commemorative concert features Bruce Neswick, associate professor of organ at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and until recently, Director of Cathedral Music and Organist, Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York City.  Richard Wyton, flutist, the Hanoverian Ensemble, will join Mr. Neswick in a varied program of music for solo organ, solo flute, and duos for organ with flute and recorder.   Selections included music by Johann Sebastian Bach, William Byrd, Gerre Hancock, Gerald Near, Georg Philipp Telemann, Jacob van Eyck, and Alec Wyton.  A post-concert reception will be held in the chapel.
